My name is Sylvie Cau and I run a workshop-boutique in Saint-Lizier.

I restyle furniture (kitchens, dining rooms, etc.), I give decorating advice and courses on different patina techniques, polished concrete, cold metallization. I sell furniture vintage revamped, chalk and lime paint, as well as all the products needed to create patinas. I work with a range of paints certified for painting children's toys: it's an acrylic paint with natural pigments and chalk, which has a very low VOC rate.

I have been practicing this activity for 5 years. I started my activity in the Gers. When I wanted to open a workshop/shop, being originally from Couserans, I decided to open my workshop there. Moreover, as my activity is part of the circular economy and the population of Couserans is sensitive to sustainable development, ecology and the environment, it was obvious for me to settle here, and specifically in St Lizier.

For me, living in Couserans is a return to my roots.

My grandfather was born in the Bellongue Valley, more precisely in St Lary. 17 years ago, I bought a house and chose to live there with my children so that they, like me, would have memories of a healthy life in a green environment, as well as the smell of cows in the stable, fresh milk, the sound of animal bells in the meadows, the pig festival...

I am particularly sensitive to ecology and I sincerely believe that collective consciousness leads us to think about another way of consuming. In addition, the heritage of quality furniture must be preserved and brought up to date to adapt it to our modern interiors. So, whether for economic, ecological or sentimental reasons, the good plan is to redesign the furniture!
