What a joy! Getting back on skis, the feeling of gliding, with snow that stays cold, that is well worked by the resort's grooming teams... and magnificent sunshine!

From the Gérac – Guzet track
Glad to see Picou back on piste skis!

I thought I hadn't missed it that much...
Life has twisted and turned into health-related meanders, taking what's important elsewhere. Yet, at the start of the season, seeing my first skier back on the groomed slopes at Guzet, hearing the sound of him gliding, the desire suddenly came back to me, a thousandfold!
I waited for my first available day off, had the edges of my trusty "Monsters" waxed and sharpened, and went up alone that beautiful January Sunday.
As soon as you set your skis down on the blue slope of Picou, the pleasure of launching long, hard turns immediately returned!
I rush to the Toboggan, revalidate the fast reds of the Roc and the Cabanes.
It's time for a break, so I head to the Chalet de Beauregard. I put down my skis and find a few friends sitting at a table on the terrace enjoying a drink. The number of smiles all around!!!
We must say that we feel like Princes and Princesses, winners of the Palme d'Or for Sunday afternoons!
Come on, a quick hello to the boss Paul Fontvieille, busy perfecting his outdoor oyster bar (yes, yes!), and a Brouche later...
It's back on skis, with 2 friends as a bonus to finish the day together! The Gérac blue slope is open, immediate boarding for the summit of Freychet and this descent on the Gérac side which is a real treat for the eyes and the morale!
Yes, for me as much as for all ski and Guzet lovers, this start to the season really marks a winning return!

Mana, a delighted skier, on the Gérac slope!
