In the alleys of Saint-Girons

As the song says, in my street there is Mathieu Zimmerman 's pastry shop which is located in the town of Saint-Girons, not far from the Saint-Girons tourist office.

A charming little tea room with a few tables in a very cozy and refined atmosphere. You can even see the chef at work in his laboratory.

The exquisitely presented display will delight even the most discerning palate. Eclairs, chocolate domes, and lemon tarts are featured in the dessert section. Croissants and palmiers are featured in the pastries section. A wide selection of teas, hot chocolate, and coffee complement these delicacies.
A special for the Gianduja roll, what a delight, a good flaky croissant pastry filled with a delicious ganache between praline and milk chocolate. An absolute must-try!

On my street there is also Alibaba's cave, the Savignac store, hardware and cutlery since 1874.
A beautiful jumble of utensils of all kinds that is worth the detour!

In the distance, on my street, there's a must-see event in the Couserans region that takes place every Saturday morning in St-Girons. It's market day. So come and stroll through the colorful aisles, smell the spices and grilled meats, and taste some cheese, charcuterie, or mountain honey. And right after that, enjoy a Vietnamese spring roll, a make-your-own flatbread, or a Lebanese sandwich.
