Stroll and feast at the Chalet de Beauregard!

Calling all mountain enthusiasts and lovers of simple pleasures! Today, I'm taking you on a sensory experience in the heart of the Pyrenees... more precisely to the Guzet resort. And since I'm a foodie, I've chosen a walk that takes in one of the best places in the area: our mountain restaurant, the Chalet de Beauregard (and it’s no coincidence that it’s called that…).

Come on, let's go with friends, strap on your hiking boots (or your snowshoes, depending on the weather at the time...) and get ready to feast your eyes, taste buds and nostrils!

From the first steps on the trail that gently climbs to Tuc des Cristaux, I love feeling the pure mountain air on my face, with its invigorating freshness. With the return of the snow dusting the peaks, it's just magical! How I love the sound of the snow under my feet, crunching gently! The mountains surround us and watch over our progress, offering a breathtaking spectacle at every turn.

After an invigorating walk of about twenty minutes (I admit, for us it was much longer, because Maritchu and I stopped to take a few thousand photos... to the great displeasure of the group!), we see the Chalet de Beauregard below, nestled between the Pic de Freychet and the Picou de la Mire.

The view from its terrace is simply magnificent. The peaks tower above us, majestically outlined, while the valleys below seem suspended in time. We settle in comfortably and let our eyes feast on this panorama.

But that's not all! Our taste buds are also in for a treat, because at the helm of the Chalet de Beauregard is Paul Fontvieille... Who is this gentleman? To quote the Michelin guide, which summed it up wonderfully, "Paul Fontvielle officiates with undiminished passion and infectious good humor. All fired up, he concocts tasty and well-thought-out dishes." Delicious dishes that warm the heart and fill the stomach after our little effort.

We enjoy ourselves, we eat, we take our time. There's no rush; we revel in the moment spent on this terrace. We chat and laugh with friends, we exchange gifts we've made ourselves, and we appreciate the simple pleasures of life.

After that, a nice digestive stroll awaits us before heading back down to the car, and we are invigorated thanks to this escapade in the heart of the mountains, these plunging views, these comforting flavors, and simply these moments together. So, when are you free to come and try it for yourself?
