The Rendez-vous aux jardins is an event aimed at highlighting this unique heritage, which we often contemplate without knowing its essence, its secrets and its history. Whether you are a novice or an informed amateur, take advantage of the exceptional visits and activities organized during this first weekend of June: from May 31 to June 2 2024.
A great opportunity to go for a walk in these energizing places and meet the passionate creators who maintain them!

The remarkable garden of Combelongue Abbey
This is one of the two remarkable gardens of Ariège, which could be described as a work of plant art, which, as Voltaire said, combines "the combed and the wild" where rigor rubs shoulders with natural freedom.

It traces the different types of gardens during the religious occupation of the area since the 12th century. With its effects of perspective and surprises, this creation has also received the Contemporary Garden and Heritage Prize, which recognizes the aesthetic quality of the garden.
Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 14pm to 19pm / paid entry for adults (€5) and free for under 18s

The Clos des Arômes garden
A botanical garden to discover on a guided tour or by playing with its treasure hunt which allows you to cross at any age this place where beauty, serenity and botanical knowledge mingle.

You will discover the flowerbeds with medicinal virtues, vegetable garden and orchard, Zen space, shiitake cultivation, biodynamics... All in a green setting on the edge of the river which perfectly completes this idyllic setting where nature reigns supreme!
As part of the garden events, Sébastien invites you to visit his garden all day on June 1st and 2nd, 2024. €2/person, no reservation required.

The garden of the Hôtel-Dieu
In Saint-Lizier, this is a must-see after visiting one of the most beautiful 18th century pharmacies.

Taste a borage flower, crush a few sprigs of lavender to soothe yourself, smell the roses in the magnificent tunnel of prolific roses... But above all, close your eyes and imagine the importance of this type of place in this former hospital, whether it is to find the right cure, the right remedy or simply to enjoy this space of tranquility opening a beneficial interlude for the sick.
On the occasion of the garden meetings, a guided tour Audio, multi-sensory around the 5 senses, with an animation of living tableaux will be offered. 2 tour departures will be set up at 15:30 p.m. and 17:00 p.m. at the Porte du Casse (opposite the church).

The Priest's Garden in Seix
This little, unsuspected treasure in the village of Seix can be discovered around a narrow street. Passionate volunteers have recreated the lush vegetation of a cottage garden, combining scents, colors, and flavors. For a multi-sensory experience.

The Witches' Garden
“There are priest's gardens and witch's gardens.” Make an appointment, walk 5 minutes to reach this garden where the wild has its place, and embark on a magical journey through medicinal and edible plants. Here, no weeds! In her garden, Anne, our witch prefers the name “advantices” and values them. The plants are part of a story, a folklore, which makes their story even more fascinating.
