The cathedral of Saint-Lizier

Dating from the 11th century, this monument impresses with the richness of its heritage and the numerous vestiges of the past that it still preserves today. Among them are Gallo-Roman reused elements and Romanesque frescoes unique in Ariège.
Take the time to observe the decorations of the apse and the north apsidiole, where the paintings of the Heavenly Jerusalem are represented, true treasures of this cathedral.
