Looking for an escape without leaving France? This summer, head to Ariège for a vibrant getaway just 2 hours from Toulouse. The RITE Festival returns from July 25th to August 8th, 2026 in Saint-Girons and the Couserans valleys.

A unique event celebrating cultural diversity through traditional dances and music from around the world . A festive and immersive experience not to be missed.

What is the RITE festival?

The RITE Festival welcomes artists from all corners of the globe each year.

In 2026, more than 250 dancers, musicians and singers will take over the stages and villages of Couserans to share their traditions, costumes, rhythms… and lots of good cheer!

And this year, several concerts and shows will take place throughout the valley.

The show “World Cultures”

A journey without a passport or suitcase! In seconds, you're transported to another world. Colorful dresses swirl, and the dancers' smiles sweep you away. More than 200 artists will take you on a journey through their world, sharing their traditions through music and dance.

This show will take place on August 6, 2026 at the exhibition center in Saint-Girons.

Show – concert “Fiesta Latina”

One of the highlights of the RITE Festival . Fiesta Latina brings together the raw energy of Costa Rica, Chile, and Peru on stage. Powerful music, fiery dances, and an electrifying atmosphere: a concentrated dose of Latin American culture to discover at this concert-show on August 7, 2025, at the Saint-Girons Exhibition Park.

Shows are coming to every village

From Sunday, August 2nd to Wednesday, August 5th , nine villages in Ariège will host groups from all over the world. Some shows are free, others require tickets: for details specific to each village, please contact the relevant town halls directly.

Monday August 3

  • Eycheil at 21 p.m.: Costa Rica and Madagascar
  • Mas d'Azil at 21pm: Chile and Bangladesh
  • Castillon at 21pm: Peru, Poland and Bethmalais

Tuesday August 4

  • Six at 21 p.m.: Costa Rica and Madagascar
  • Massat at 21 p.m.: Peru and Bangladesh
  • Saint-Lizier at 21pm: Chile and Poland

Wednesday August 5

  • La Bastide at 21 p.m.: Costa Rica and Bangladesh
  • Alos: Peru and Madagascar
  • Betchat: Chile and Poland

Join us from August 3rd to 7th at 17:30 pm in Place Jean-Buffelan in Saint-Girons for a free show open to all, featuring troupes from various countries. A moment of sharing in the heart of the city!
