Archery on the course

Located on the borders of Couserans, the Parcours des Portes du Couserans offer the possibility, to all public, to relax, have fun and/or train around many activities implemented with a bow and arrows.

3D – Nature or Countryside

Beyond archery at 70 m distance on flat ground, a mode of competition that everyone can see at the time of the Olympic Games, there is another way to appreciate this sport. That of walking from target to target, as a golfer does from hole to hole. This is what our domain offers.

On a 5 km course, you move from one site to another to test your shooting skills in various positions. Uphill, downhill, sloping to the left or right, short (less than 5 m) or long distance (at most 60 m).

3 types of routes:

- A course of 26 3D targets:
To reach the 4 Zones on the target and obtain 11 – 10 – 8 or 5 points you have 3 arrows.
The duration of the course varies between 2h and 3h

- A course of 18 targets named Nature:
We have chosen to teach you 11 of the 242 fables of Monsieur Jean de la Fontaine or to surprise you with 6 trolls from the depths of the forest. After shooting 2 arrows at 2 different distances on the 3 existing areas of the animal representation you can obtain 30, 20 or 10 points
The duration of the route is approximately 1h30 to 2h

- A course of 8 targets called Campaign:

8 targets of 4 different sizes which requires more precision in its way of releasing the string of its bow. You will find them in the Circle of Unknown Distances. They are composed of 6 zones worth from 1 to 6 points you have 3 arrows to obtain a maximum of 18 points per type of target.
The duration of the route varies between 1h and 1h30

It is possible to mix the different types of course, as is the case with Chez les Monstres du TUC (18 3D and Nature targets). Duration 1h30 to 2h, or for Le Complet (51 targets and a duration of at least 5h).
