Panoramic ascent: The Calabasse peak

From the wild Bellongue Valley, this 2210m pyramidal peak is easily spotted and well worth the effort. The route is wild and also very varied: it crosses different Pyrenean ecosystems, passes by beautiful cabins, and finally rewards you with a breathtaking view of the high peaks of Ariège, Haute-Garonne (Luchonnais) and even the Hautes-Pyrénées.
