Reading Nights in Castillon-en-Couserans

The 9th Nights of Reading, organized for the 4th consecutive year by the National Book Center on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, will be held from January 23 to 26.

At the Castillon media library, meet us on Saturday, January 25th from 15 p.m.!

15 p.m.: Readings on the theme of transmission for children

16 p.m.: Cake competition - come and participate or just taste! Prize up for grabs after public vote...

17 p.m.: Readings on the theme of transmission and heritage for adults

18 p.m.: Show "Le Prénom" by the company La Colombe enragée. Decolonial dance and lyrics. All ages from 8 years old - 1 hour. Free with registration
In this solo combining dance and orality, Maryem Dogui questions her African roots and her cultural heritage as a child of immigrants, hindered by centuries of French colonization and assimilation.
The first name is an attempt to repair a broken chain, the visceral reappropriation of a heritage with holes. An intimate testimony as transgenerational and multicultural reconciliation.
