[BOOM BAP] [RAP]
Central American rapper Mai de Rimas, originally from Guatemala, is a socially conscious artist, passionate about boom bap rhythms and lyrics that denounce the realities of an individualistic, violent, and capitalist society. Deeply affected by marginalization, injustice, and social inequality, she decided to use her voice to convey messages and express both her pain and her hope for a better humanity. Her world is a place where rage, love, and hope intertwine like a vital force carried by words and rhythm.
Alongside him, DJ Babzilla, a multidisciplinary artist nourished by Creole, Afro, Latin and Brazilian music, also explores emerging sounds – on stage, their worlds respond to and complement each other.
