In line with its CSR initiatives, Destination of Excellence and labeling Green Destinations, the Couserans Pyrénées Tourist Office is proud to include eco-labeled local stakeholders in its network of partners.
The professionals below therefore hold an eco label, a brand or a recognized CSR approach (Corporate Social Responsibility: social, environmental and economic commitments).
If the presence of a recognized eco-responsible label reassures you, you can filter your search directly by label.
Which eco-responsible labels should you favor?
It depends on you and what you are looking for, depending on your sensitivity and your expectations!
- Park Values : the brand common to all PNR (Regional Natural Parks), which identifies products that demonstrate the commitment of producers, artisans and service providers to the sustainable development of their territory.
- Accueil Vélo (Cyclists welcome) : fellow cycle tourists, you will be welcome at our certified accommodation providers, able to accommodate you in the best conditions (storage, cleaning space, possibility of repairs, suitable information, etc.).
- Nature and Progress : this associative brand, at the origin of the AB label, is committed to local sales channels and direct links to producers, which limit pollution linked to transport and encourage dialogue between the players in a sector.
- Organic farming : trust this label which will guarantee you products (food, wines, cosmetics, textiles) from cultivation and breeding practices that respect natural balances, with a limited impact on the environment.
- Green Key : this label promotes accommodations that control their energy and water consumption (natural light, renewable energies, presence detectors, etc.).
- NEW : a collective Ariège brand created in 2021, it currently brings together more than 1200 local food and non-food products of agricultural origin, produced or manufactured by more than 100 producers and artisans (meat, wine, cheese, cosmetics, textiles, etc.).
- LPO shelters (League for the Protection of Birds): a label that promotes spaces that protect biodiversity, by not using any chemical products for fauna and flora, by leaving natural areas of tall grass, wild flowers, local varieties of trees, water points and access to natural food resources...
- Fishing accommodation : label awarded to tourist accommodation, close to a fishing spot and open during the fishing season. You have the guarantee of a fishing documentation fund, a specific secure room for storing and drying fishing equipment.
