The association aims to promote aspects of the history of Couserans
It produces shows and organizes events in the region
THE WAR OF THE DAMESSES
The name given to a peasant revolt that took place in the 19th century (1829-1872) in the Ariège valleys, symbolizing the spirit of resistance of the Couserans people against the central power of Charles X and then Louis-Philippe. The nighttime cinematic spectacle was performed four times in 2019 and 2022. In 2024 and 2025, the association proposed "The Peddlers of Couserans" as a theme, paying tribute to more than 1,000 people from Couserans who traveled the world as peddlers. This show was performed for over 2,000 people in four shows at the Stade des 4 Vallées in Audressein/Castillon.
