Les Cartophiles Ariégeois is an association that brings together enthusiasts of old and modern postcards from Ariège.
The association traces the history and heritage of our department through collections of rare and original maps.
This association of around forty members has now become a key cultural player in Couserans through its exhibitions, events and publications which bring the history and collective memory of Ariège to life (couserans marbles, trains and tramways, the epic of the Tour de France in the Pyrenees, reconstruction of a 1900 classroom at the Jacobins school) faithful to their cardinal motto: “You have to know where you come from to know where you are going”.
