Marie Cantagrill and her Musicians return to Saint-Lizier for a new Grand Rendez-Vous!!

It is with a program of French music that the great
international concert artist, Marie Cantagrill and her Musicians, in
quintet, (and a harpist), will once again be in the majestic
Saint-Lizier Cathedral.
The Poem by Ernest Chausson will open the concert; this piece
of which Chausson said, before its composition, that "it would be a
piece of a very free form”, takes us “on a journey”,
with moments of a "dreamy sweetness" as expressed
Debussy when he heard it...
Then Marie Cantagrill and her Musicians will launch into action with passion
in Camille Saint's Havanaise and Rondo Capriccioso
Saëns, very famous works, inspired by Spanish music because
composed for Pablo de Sarasate; a great virtuoso moment and
full of rhythms!
Finally, during this beautiful concert, we will be able to tremble with Tzigane, "
a virtuoso piece in the style of a Hungarian rhapsody"
as its composer, Maurice Ravel, called it. A harp
will accompany the ensemble in this concert rhapsody
for violin and orchestra, oscillating between dark sounds and
crazy gaiety.
A first Grand Rendez-Vous full of beauty and virtuosity,
of emotion and passion, this Friday, April 17, 2025, at 17:30 p.m., in
Saint-Lizier Cathedral!
Concert organized by the Music and Sharing association in
Couserans. Prices: 20 euros // 15 euros (Members and young people aged 13 and over)
(at 18 years old)// Free for children 12 years old and under.
