The Pic d’Estibat on snowshoes

Easily accessible peak with a splendid view at the top!

0.00 A- From the parking lot at the Col de Port (1250 m), head towards the grassy track to the south-east which runs along a wooden fence arranged in a circle (capture). The path narrows and winds through the moor.
0.30 B- Arrive at a flat grassy ridge where the path that climbs into the fir forest from the pass also emerges.
0.40 C- Follow the cairns which first point towards the South-East (you can see the Estibat hut below) then take the route which goes towards the South-West and gradually climb the wide shoulder which leads to the Pic d ' Estibat.
1.20 D- Arrive at the summit ridge fence (1663 m) and descend by the same path.

Summer pasture area from June to October (cattle and horses), keep your dogs on a leash.
