The Pic du Freychet on ski touring

New this year! The ski touring trail, in the Guzet resort, towards the Pic du Freychet offers breathtaking views of the Couserans mountains. It is ideal for a first initiation.

The departure is at Guzet 1500. To begin with, you will take the snowshoe trail, continuing your way towards the Col d'Escot. You will then take the connecting track below the mountain restaurant, to continue your way to the ski lifts. At the chairlift which goes towards the Pic du Freychet, you will pass on its right to go up towards the Cirque de Gérac. Once arrived, you will continue your ascent towards the Freychet peak which will be on your left, taking the ski touring trail, marked for this purpose.

In the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park, dogs must be kept on a leash due to the presence of herds and to protect wildlife.
