The Ars waterfall is the flagship hike in the valley.

This loop begins quietly with a forest track before continuing on a path which becomes steeper. The climbing along the waterfall is tough and needs to be handled well. Once at the top of the waterfall, a balcony path alternates between flat areas and small climbs before reaching Guzettou, a beautiful summer pasture with a cabin. The descent loses 800m with very few flat areas to relax the legs. Better to have good technique, or just walk! The record time for the course is 1h 09mn15s.

Note that the presence of avalanche corridors does not allow this route to be opened early in the season: inquire at the Espace Trail du Couserans reception or at the Tourist Office.
