You will dominate the plain, the village and the Balagué cirque, unique in its flatness! The circuit will take you to visit pastures and hamlets of barns, some of which have “bird’s-eye” roofs. Exceptional panorama of the high peaks.
Road access: In Castillon, take the direction of Saint-Girons (D4) and the D618. After 2 km, turn left onto the D204 (Balaguères valley), then left towards Balagué. In the heart of the village (small square and large Christ) take the alley on the right to the car park 100 m away.

Go back down to the bottom of the car park and take the wide path on the right.
A few minutes later, turn left at the watering hole to quickly reach another fork.
Take the path which climbs to the right. This long crossing lined with boxwood leads after a long time to a
Junction 1h15 970m
Take the track on the left which goes down slightly to take you towards a group of barns.
A little further on, leave it on the right when it makes a sharp turn to the left. the narrow path, lined with boxwood, climbs full slope to the
Sarrat bifurcation 1 h 40 1020 m.
To the right, you quickly come to a track which you take to the left to go back down. You have changed slope, and in 3 or 4 bends you reach another track which you follow to the right.
It has a lot of forks: stay flat to go up slightly.
Turn right at the large fork and follow the signs (mouth no. 22). After a long time, you find boxwoods on the sides of the path.
Descent junction 2 h 40 1075 m
Go down to the right along the path which quickly takes you back to the village of Balagué.
The Seignade cross 3 h 970 m
Continue the descent, leaving the Agert path on the left.
Soon, you will connect with the departure route.
