Your publication on our information media
Each member of the Tourist Office has a dedicated page created on our website, with a title, descriptions, price list, photos and contact details.
In order to complete it, a good amount of information is requested from you each year.
Likewise, you are responsible for notifying us of any changes as soon as possible, so that the information we provide is as complete, accurate and up-to-date as possible.
A new form (2023) is sent to you for this information collection.
It must be returned to us fully completed, accompanied by 6 good quality photos (between 1 and 10MB), in landscape format and with your structure + the name of the author of the photo in the caption.
This source of information about you is:
- entry into a professional database (who is called APIDAE:
- here feeds our website tourisme-couserans-pyrenees.com ; et now also instantly that of Ariège ariegepyrenees.com
- which allows us toextract lists with dedicated software (called Edit Yourself) For provide the customer with personalized information, upon request (printing at the counter, by phone for mailing, by email and sending in PDF, etc.): lists of accommodation, restaurants, activities, weekly events, etc.
- entered into mailing software (who is called SendinBlue): thus, we can communicate with you, in particular via the newsletter, by having the ability to send a large number of emails in a single shipment, without falling into your spam (even if it still happens)
What you still have to do in managing your tourist information:
- Create and update your Google My Business listing : this is very important. This is the box on the right that appears when you do a Google search, with the address, the link to your website, your phone number, photos, geolocation to find you easily and… opinions
- Manage your customer reviews online : They're now part of the game, and everyone now trusts them. Whether you like the comment left or not, respond as much as possible. And don't worry, a single bad review has no value, and users know it! On the other hand, if you receive dozens of them, you might want to rethink or revise your positioning.

Legal rules: GDPR
In a constant effort to ensure the readability and accessibility of information for tourist customers, the Tourist Office collects information about your establishment, records it, and distributes it. To do this, we must comply with the legislation on the management of personal data.

The acronym GDPR stands for " General Data Protection Regulation ". The GDPR governs the processing of personal data within the territory of the European Union.
The concept of “personal data” should be understood very broadly: “personal data” is “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person”.
A person can be identified:
- directly (example: name, first name)
- or indirectly (example: by an identifier (customer number), a number (telephone), biometric data, several specific elements specific to his physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity, but also voice or image).
The identification of a natural person can be carried out:
- from a single piece of data (example: social security number, DNA)
- from the crossing of a set of data (example: a woman living at such an address, born on such a day, subscribed to such a magazine and an activist in such an association)
Example : a marketing database containing a lot of specific information about the location, age, tastes and purchasing behavior of consumers, even if their name is not stored, is considered to be processing personal data, as long as it is possible to trace back to a specific natural person based on this information.
We must therefore be responsible in the processing of this data, as well as in the rights to the photos and texts.

This is knowing that we may have to adapt them to the editorial charter of the Tourist Office. This authorization request is included in the new membership form, in the form of a declarative sentence, of the type » I declare that I have the authorization to give the photos mentioned above for non-commercial use for distribution on the media of the Tourist Office and other tourist institutions.
Publication on our promotional/seduction media
We are experts in the Couserans destination : our job is to to have a comprehensive understanding of the tourist supply and demand in our region.
We therefore make editorial choices, highlighting according to criteria of seasonality, identity and marketing positioning (notoriety campaigns, differentiation, marketing of showcase products, etc.).
Mainly, this promotion-seduction mission involves (in order of impact on prospects):

On paper
Let's first talk about the " Mag' du Couserans " a pure tool of seduction (no contacts, photo quality, ideas, desires) in paper format, because we also like to have a beautiful object to read, to distribute and to give, enhancing our destination !
This is what you often see most of our promotional work which, by definition, is done outside of Couserans!
No need to be on social media, the Mag' comes to you, to the store next door, to your tourist office.
However, By joining, you cannot demand a guaranteed presence on our seduction paper media : rest assured, we are definitely working for you in another way... If only by knowing how to make the Couserans visible and attractive so that tourists come here, to your home!
The Mag' and the tourist map are the two major supports also distributed at the trade shows we participate in. They attract and then people come to you, for accommodation, a restaurant, an activity…
Social networks
Nowadays, when it comes to promoting a destination, social media is the best influencer! Before the Mag'... And often before institutional websites...
And it is a profession to know how to use them to their full potential, following their constant developments.
Our presence on social networks is done mainly, for the moment, on Instagram and Facebook.
We highlight the region's tourist offerings, by making editorial choices to address our target customers as a priority and, sometimes, customer niches for which we have comparative advantages.
Regarding the specific subject of our promotion of animations and events, here are the established rules for you, organizers:

1 Publishing media content in a story or on a Facebook post is only possible if the organizer sends us quality content (photos or videos). According to our editorial charter on social networks, sharing posters is not accepted. Poor-quality visuals would impact the media coverage of our publications and networks.
