STAR RATING

Le star rating is a voluntary approach which provides a official quality guarantee of service and comfort to French and international customers whose demands are increasingly high.

Accommodation control is carried out by accredited control bodies, on the basis of classification criteria adopted and approved by decree.

The tourist accommodation concerned is hotels, campsites, residential leisure parks, tourist residences, holiday villages and furnished tourist accommodation.

How?

• Find out the classification: contact your accommodation representative at the Tourist Office to assess the possibility of classification and determine the classification level to aim for (between 1 and 5 stars).
• The choice of the organization: The verification of accommodation is carried out by control bodies duly accredited, based on classification criteria adopted and approved by decree. The two present in the department are
  • The Tourism Development Agency (download the information leaflet)
  • Gîte de France (download the information leaflet)
• The inspection visit: carried out by the organization, with the optional presence of your OT representative.
• The star rating proposal: you will receive it within 30 days.
• Validation of the classification: validate or reject the decision within 15 days.
