Day 1: Relax, relax, relax
An afternoon to reconnect and recharge. Drop your bags in the Spa cabins: The heights of Monségu. A place more than cocooning, where only one thought comes to mind: relax around a good hot bath with a view of the forest.
You can then contemplate the 50 shades of autumn that decorate the surrounding hills. Optional: Not far from there are also the Remarkable Gardens of Combelongue Abbey, for a timeless stroll in this disconnected place.
Taste our Regional cooking in a iconic restaurant from Couserans: The Auberge d’Antan. The meeting will be in Saint-Girons, at the Château de Beauregard… this is to announce the magical setting of this unmissable detour. As soon as you enter this old barn, the succulent smells of the dishes roasting in front of you in the large fireplace of the room will make your mouth water. A panel of local produce, cooked with passion: one thing is certain, you won't leave here with an empty stomach! Between stuffed suckling pig cooked on a spit, mia flambé and semi-cooked foie gras... it's a real taste treat but also a magnificent culinary spectacle.
Day 2: Nature, nature, nature!
After a good night's sleep, discover wild plants edibles from Couserans, accompanied by Agnès, alias Treetop flora, for a floral and plant journey. An outing with a bucolic feel, interweaving picking, tasting, but above all preparing small desserts to accompany the aperitif and/or even dishes to be enjoyed in in the great outdoors ! And why not, write down the recipe to show off your wild cooking skills to your friends!
Continue your day by putting on your hiking boots, just above Agnès' farm, with breathtaking views: the tour of the rock of Peyre CaussilHere, you can admire the orange hues of autumn, reconnect with nature, and why not put into practice what you learned with Agnès that morning. A 3h20 hike on forest trails that offer you panoramic views of the Arac valley, and the main peaks of the Couserans and the Pyrenees. A beautiful end to your weekend for two!
