For your leisure time, the surrounding mountains invite you to take short, leisurely walks in search of the first orchids in spring, porcini mushrooms and chanterelles in autumn.
The departure points for high mountain sports hikes to the summits, waterfalls and high altitude lakes are just a few kilometres away.
Fishing enthusiasts will also find what they are looking for in the surrounding rivers; the Garbet 4km, the Salat 6km etc or in the mountain lakes. The trout are abundant but wild and are not easily caught...
In the surrounding area you can also practice: horse riding, mountain biking, road cycling, paragliding, golf, gliding, canoeing, caving etc.
Finally, Ariège is a land of history, you can visit prehistoric caves like Niaux or Mas d'Azil, castles and medieval towns, Romanesque churches or simply admire the landscapes on the many panoramic roads.
