Nestled in the hollow of a valley in the Pyrenean foothills, between Foix and Saint-Girons, the Abbey of Combelongue and its gardens labeled Jardin Remarquable, offer the charm and prestige of a place steeped in history.

Founded in 1138 by the Count of Pallars, the Abbey of Combelongue, a Romanesque historical monument, is the only abbey in Couserans. It is one of the jewels of the heritage of this region.

Its Mudejar-influenced architecture is exceptional on this side of the Pyrenees, the sculpted decor pure and symbolic.

Contemporary stained glass adorns the abbey church.
