Since 2001, Ariège has hosted the Tour de France on its roads 15 times. The Col de Péguère has made such a lasting impression during the four times it has been crossed (in 4, 2012, 2017, and 2019), that it is now nicknamed "the Péguère wall." Classified as a first-category mountain, it is both a dream and a fearsome experience for cyclists. Climbing it is a real challenge!
