Ariège has its Grande Traversée MTB (FFC label): from Ax-les-Thermes to Saint-Lizier. 203km in the heart of the Pyrenees allow you to alternate between technical and fun passages in a magnificent setting.

Come ride in the Pyrenees with the GT Ariège Pyrénées!

On the menu, a wide variety of remarkable landscapes between mountains, culture and foothills.

Start strong with a 1st stage with an ultra sporty climb, single tracks, panoramas and mountains will put you in the mood. Continue on the Chemin des Bonshomme (GR107) elected 3rd favorite GR of the French in 2021, with the castle of Montségur, a mecca of Catharism. Take a detour and go riding around Lake Montbel: technical and super fun. Then join the Chemin de St Jacques (GR78) from Mirepoix which takes you to Pamiers, the Mas d'Azil cave and the village of Saint Lizier, Grand Site Occitanie and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Riding this GTVTT ensures that you strengthen your calves and are amazed; portages, climbs, descents, technical passages, single tracks, quiet greenways to recover and admire the Pyrenees in the background.

Ariège offers you remarkable places of exploration, adventure and emotion, where you are welcome!
