An excellent trail training route in the mid-mountains: an ascent alternating between challenging climbs and flatter sections, and a moderately technical descent. A few difficult climbs provide valuable experience for managing effort on ascents of over 8 km.
Alternate between running, brisk walking, or Nordic walking with poles to ascend. We encourage you to behave responsibly in this fragile and shared environment. Stay on the trails and take your trash with you. Observe the flora without picking it. Be discreet so as not to disturb the wildlife. In summer pasture areas, remember to close gates and barriers. Do not approach or feed the animals. If a Pyrenean Mountain Dog (Patou) approaches you, move away slowly and calmly. Avoid large gestures or shouting, even if it barks, as it may perceive you as a threat. If it follows you, ignore it. Swimming in the lakes is discouraged: sunscreen, even organic, is a source of pollution. During periods of drought, all fires are prohibited. At other times, fires are only permitted more than 200 meters from any forest. Use camping stoves instead of natural fire pits. In the unlikely event of an encounter with a bear, which is trying to avoid us at all costs, make your presence known.
