Paul Fauroux (1921-2011) signed his works "Le Naïf" ("The Naive Artist")

Paul, trained as a carpenter, was a farmer and a mason.

Once he retired, he was finally able to express himself by working with the wood he knew so well.

He chose to highlight the natural essences of raw wood. To do so, he would gather his materials from his immediate environment: fields, forests and various discarded materials.

For 17 years, he has carried out this unique activity.

His works offer a glimpse of his sensitivity to poetry, his humour, and, at times, his existential questioning. Some questions will remain a mystery …
