To revitalise the history and traditions of our ancestors through events and historical shows ! The Couserans has so many stories to tell, and the Consorani is dedicated to bringing them all back to life !
The association takes its name from a tribe living in the central Pyrenees in ancient times. Over the centuries, the term Consorani has evolved to give the region the name of Couserans.
The association organises shows and workshops for many of the major events held in the Couserans (Autrefois le Couserans, the War of the Damsels, the Heritage Days, etc.) and further afield.
You can also rent costumes from their collection of over 2,000 dresses, gowns and other accessories. And yes ... 25 years is plenty of time for the Consorani volunteers to perfect their technique and make a whole host of costumes !
If you feel like a Gallic princess, a mountain shepherd, a legionnaire, a peasant peddler, or a fairy guardian of a spring ... whatever your age and wherever you come from ... Join them !
