Bethmale Valley, an exceptional site
The Campuls cirque, a cirque of glacial origin and part of the rich natural heritage of the Ariège Pyrenees, hosts the event in its superb green setting.
Located at an altitude of 1,404 m, it is easily accessible, with a total elevation gain of 400 m across 7 km of forest road, setting off from Lake Bethmale.
As per the tradition, "La Bethmalaise" offers up entertaiment on this June weekend for the great Transhumance celebrations.
Dressed in their very special costumes and wearing their famous clogs, they perpetuate the traditions of music, song and dance in a warm and colourful atmosphere.
